David and I were legally married yesterday in the great state of Oregon. We now have a real marriage certificate and everything, after twenty years together. Cheers!
We had to sign a waver on the 72 hour waiting period. The only delay was waiting two hours to complete the paperwork and a slight wait at the Keller Auditorium where the services were being performed. As luck would have it, a minister friend of ours was performing weddings that day, saw us, ran down stairs and asked us to request him for our service. He did a beautiful job for the ceramony. The wedding that was planned for all of a half day turned out to be perfect in its own funky way.
The hardest part was determining who was the groom and who was the bride. I am now one of the few 6'4" brides after the coin toss on the courthouse steps. Oh dear, maybe I need to start getting manicures. ???
