Default Missing the boat!!

we are cruising from NY on 09/28/04 and have a very tight schedule to get aboard the carnival legend. What happens if you miss the boat?

If you are flying into the departure port, unless you've purchased your airfare in conjunction with your cruise from the cruise lines, if you miss the boat due, your sunk (to put it politely).

You can read some VERY funny stories about missing a boat, and you can read some NOT so funny stories about missing a boat...... in a post titled, "Has anyone ever missed the boat in a Caribbean port? What do you do?".... by authors E&M (dated 8/25) on this site.

Warning!!! DON'T miss the boat.

How tight is it?????? I always fly the night before and stay over. Just to be on the safe side. Except when sailing from New York, since I'm with in two hours driving time.

Rearrange the tight schedule, of course. Don't miss the boat. Miss something else...a few hours of sleep, take off earlier than expected from work or cancel something instead of missing your wonderful cruise ship. Happy cruising.
