Hey guys! My partner and I are booked on RSVP's February 2005 Caribbean Sun cruise aboard the Westerdam....anyone else going? This is his first cruise...my third. Can't wait!
I hear ya! I'm really looking forward to this cruise. The first cruise I went on was fantastic...second one not so much! But this one should be wonderful. We are taking my sister-in-law with us so should be a great time. My husband needed someone to keep him company while I sit in the casino!
I, along with 1800 others will be there. It'll be my 14th RSVP. This one SHOULD be great since it's their 20th anniversary. For their 10th Anniv. cruise, they pulled out all (ok, many) of the stops for entertainment - very memorable!!!
I am sailing on this voyage as well....security for Thulewx....you know how those International stars/jet setters are.......avoiding all their fans.
I am in a category A share....any singles out there in the same category? Curious as to who my roomie is.
The party will be the night before the cruise, details to follow, but we'll have someone at the door to hand out a name tag for everyone on the cruise, all you will have to do is identify yourself. The past two years have been VERY busy and interesting to say the least.
Not allowed to mention URL's here, so do a search using the bars name. We have a bear cruise to get out of the way, WOO HOO, then will start working on RSVP.....
Re: Re: Anyone booked on RSVP Caribbean Sun in 02/05?
Thanks for the info...I will be there.......this will help break the ice rather than wasting days on the ship meeting people........
cant wait to find out my cabin assignment and roomy......hope he is easy to get along with. And if he happens to be too cute, and too popular.....with too many visitors to the cabin late in the evening, I will charge admission and recoup the cost of the cruise....say...maybe I should wish for a stud muffin afterall to make me money....lol.
Look'in forward to a really fun time with all...got my pareo ready, now to get me ready.
We are in Category DD...rooming with my sister in law. We are flying into Tampa for the weekend to see my inlaws for a couple days, then driving to FL on Sunday morning. I'm counting the days....it's been five years since I've had a vacation without kids!
I wish I could do the pre-cruise at cubbyhole - great group of guys... unfortunately, I'll be on the Westerdam for the week prior with a work-related reunion cruise. At least I'll have scoped out all the staff/crew on board for the next week and can pass the info to Capt. Tom, so he'll have advance notice. I think I may start posting his pic everywhere in the crew area too - "Beware this man - he's horny!!" <EG>
We will be on this cruise. This be only our second cruise and first with RSVP. We will be staying in Fort Lauderdale 4 days before the cruise and 3 after. Looking forward to meeting new people.
Jason and I will be aboard. This will be my 5th RSVP cruise (my first one partnered) and Jason's first. The ports on this cruise are supposed to be fabulous. I've been to San Juan and Half Moon Cay on previous RSVP cruises. Tortola and Dominican Republic will be new. Anything has got to beat last year's visit to Guatemala where striking truckers blocked the highways and stopped our bus from returning to the ship.
To the new sailors here...Many RSVP sailors take the various costume parties very seriously. It is quite the experience. Give some advance thought to your outfits and costumes. You can pretty much expect: Underwear party, Leather/Uniform party, Sarong or Retro T-Dance (used to be Sarong, but changed it to Retro in 2004...did things get out of hand with the Sarongs?), Bathing Beauties competition and the oh so famous Masquerade Party/Contest. Many also create costumes for the boarding process/life boat drill/sail-away party.
I'm looking forward to seeing all my friends from years past. Jason and I will be arriving Thursday to enjoy the pre-cruise activities.

That is good to know what kind of costume parties they have so we can start planning. Does anyone know when they usually post the information? Where are people staying before the cruise? We will be staying at The Flamingo Inn Amongst the Flowers. What kind of pre-cruise activities are there?
There will be at least one Bon Voyage Party, the one that I know about is at The Cubbyhole. Details will be posted on their website shortly. I have been for the past several years, they are a packed fun party. They also show DVD's from previous years RSVP cruises on their monitors.
