Since I've received no replies to this post whatsoever, I decided to reply to myself to give this a bit more exposure.
Certainly there must be other gays aboard this cruise. If not, it's not too late to book as I understand there are still cabins available.
I can't think of a better place to be on New Year's Eve than on a ship. For us West Coasters, a Mexican Riviera Cruise is the perfect winter getaway.
The wonderful thing about this cruise is that it overnights in fabulous Acapulco giving us a chance to sample the city by day and get a taste of the nightlife in this port.
So, c'mon guys and gals, what are you waiting for?
In Zijuatenejo, you can go to the isolated beach, Las Gatas, which is accessible only by water taxi. I heard you can book the water taxi when you get into town, and someone is going to verify this for me.
When we went to Zijuatenejo, we walked about town, and mainly spent time around the fishing village where we had margaritas and people watched. The area is gorgeous, with serene beach scenes, lots of coconut palm trees, etc.
Here is a link to other things about the area and Acapulco:
Thanks Harry for the great information!!!! So far I've not heard from anybody so I'm assuming we're the only gay people on board
Hmmm, looks like I'm going to have my work cut out for me once I board the ship!
CHEERS!
John
John, just talked to my niece last night about her cruise on the Star. She said they had a fantastic time. Food-wise, she said Le Bistro was great, but the Southwestern eatery was not any good (in fact, they walked out and went to the buffet).
Hope that little tidbit helps. Also, I heard that NCL is now doing as Carnival that if you have your bags with you, you can disembark when you want.
Harry
