my name is gert ,44. I live in belgium.
in a few months i'll start working for tax free shops on cruiseships.
probably for the caribbean islands.
it's my first time on a ship,so it's all new to me.
I'm wondering how gaylife is as a crew member(i've got the feeling that if you're not working you're locked up in your cabin),has anyone had some experience about this,as a crew member or as a cruiser.(cruising!!!)
write me on firstname.lastname@example.org
thanks all greetings
Gert, there is a fairly good percentage of crew that happen to be gay. Crew are pretty close and friendly and everyone is pretty well accepted and it is who you are that is important, and not what you are.
Most cruise lines allow some staff including gift shop, salon workers and entertainers to use many of the common areas onboard. You should be fine. Keep an eye on the steam room in the spa. What ship will you be on?
great question, what i experienced onboard as a gay crew member was that everybody was friendly, there were a lot of gay crewmembers and I had a great time.
Just don't be to open about it,and don't let the pax tempt you,far to dangerous for your job.
Have a nice cruise career.
