Carnival - Duty Free Alcohol

Several Years ago we saved a lot of money by going to the Duty Free shop before boarding a Royal Caribean cruise. Since the drinks are so expensive, we set up bar in our room and took advantage of the inexpensive alcohol at the Duty Free shop. We also brought some Cokes. Is this even possible on Carnival Cruises?

Chip, any liquor bought on board will be held to the day before disembarking. If you wish to bring your own on, be sure and put it in your checked luggage. They will also set up a table when you are in port so that you can turn in any liquor you may buy in port, but I've found that if you just it in a backpack, the screener never says anything.

awsome! So they don't bother you if your alcohol is checked in your luggage?

I've never had a problem. Just be sure and wrap it well because they do throw the suitcases around. I usually put it in a Ziploc bag for safe-keeping
