For Harry re: Aft Cabin

Harry, I know that last year you did the Carnival Pride in an aft cabin. We just booked ourselves on the Freedom of the Seas in an aft, corner cabin. As you know, it is so hard to get any info on this ship yet. Here are my thoughts and questions. We are on deck 7. Did you have any engine noise and do you think that will be a problem? Having a few out the back, is it a nice view of did you ever wish you were facing side soy ou could see more? Just a little concerned as we have never been aft before. We booked it because the balcony is huge. Thanks for any help you can give.

Fitz/Tim, in my opinion and many others, you cannot lose with an aft cabin.

The view of the wake is gorgeous when you are just at sea (compared to just water on the side). Plus you get a very strong ocean sound, which is great for sleeping.

The only downside is it's a longer walk back to the cabin, and you will probably feel vibration when pulling out of port. We also got some soot remnants on our chairs on the balcony but it was light and easy to wipe down.

In NO way would I alter your plans to a side view cabin.

None for me yet, though the ship is just incredible from the computer-generated photos I have seen.
