Any "FOD" meetings on HAL ships?

I am booked on the Ryndam's Alaska cruise on August 28th, 2005. Has anyone taken this or another HAL cruise to or from Alaska? Do they have "Friends of Dorothy" cocktail get-togethers onboard? Did many people show? Was it difficult to meet other gay people aboard? Any comments would be appreciated.

I was on the Zuiderdam in April and they had a FOD meeting everyday at 4. It was NOT a cocktail party. It was just a bunch of us sitting in a little room talking. Got a little boring after the second day.

There was one on the first day on the Oosterdam. Probably 10 very bored looking guys sitting at the bottom of a staircase watching wallpaper peel. Maybe it got exciting later, I didn't bother to find out, but at least they had one and it was announced in the daily newsletter.
