Default MSC Info Needed

We're sailing MSC Lirica in a few weeks, and really don't know what to expect, being used to Princess, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean.

Interested in any feedback from anyone who has cruised on MSC.

Default MSC Lirica

I sailed on the Lirica from Ft. Lauderdale to Genoa last May and had a wonderful time. The food is delicious, the entertainment superb, and the staff most accommodating. I had a problem when my roommate, claiming to have spent his first night sleepless in our cheapo inside cabin, approached Housekeeping with the complaint that there was too much noise from the kitchen. He maneuvered his way into a two-category cabin upgrade (my cabinmate was a stranger to me, arranged over the internet, not obviously gay!). To get back at him for moving out on me unannounced, and also to get my just desserts, I tried the same ploy -went to Housekeeping and demanded my own reassignment. Although there were no other cabins immediately available, by the time I got to Malaga, 11 days into the cruise, someone in a balcony suite had had to be evacuated for medical reasons. The staff were kind enough to offer me the deluxe single cabin at no extra charge! I will always cherish my fond memories of the Lirica and the generoity (gentilessa) of its staff. Enjoy your cruise! Buon divertimento! Pierre
