I went there as part of a tour when I was land-based but I'm sure you could get there and back easy enough. Although you would need to make sure before you go as it's not near anything else. It's a bit south of PV and the ships are north of PV but look for a gay tour and ask them about it before you book. However, Diana who runs many of the tours in PV can probably answer better. Her email address is dianatours2001 at yahoo dot ca

Thank you and may I ask, is it worth the day trip. More than anything our little group wants to swim, perhaps snorkle and enjoy the beach. Otherwise it a walk around town and then to Blue Chairs.
We were there 2 years ago. We were staying in PV for a week so this was a day trip for us. We went to several locations for snorkeling. Pacos does have some good snorkeling and is clothing optional so if you're looking to snorkel in the buff it's your best bet. I think it would depend on if you've ever been to PV or not. PV is a great city for sightseeing, especially from the Malecon south. The bars are all located near Blue Chairs, and they have a nice beach to sit on and be waited on. Or you can go to the roof top bar for a bit of fun. I can also HIGHLY recommend a place to eat called The Red Cabbage (Cafe El Repollo Rojo) at Calle Rivera Del Rio 204a. The Chiles en Nogada, stuffed w/ pork ina creme sauce with pommegranites were out of this world. As were the margaritas. A great website is http://www.vallarta-info.com/index.html for general PV info and http://www.gayguidevallarta.com/Daylife/ for gay PV. Whatever you do it's a wonderful city and I want to go back again! You'll just wish you had more than one day there.

I visited Poco Hidden Beach last year about this time and I was somewhat dissapointed. It is a long bus ride to where the boat takes you to this spot and an even longer boat trip. It is a vary attractive place with nude sun bathing and nice beach. However it takes almost half a day to get there and back so as a cruise ship excursion I feel it was not worth the effort. I would go there again if on a full holiday in PV but not as a cruise ship passenger. There are so many more things to do at the Blue Chairs where the young boys are great eye candy. Also I got the feeling that this hidden beach was a bit clickesh with the locals not at all friendly. Maybe I was a bit shy. Hate to dash cold water on this location but this was my experience. Cheers, Rocky
Too bad that I am booked on the 17 April Mercury cruise. We shall be like two ships crossing in the night! I'll mentioned your names at the Blue Chairs so be aware of your arrival. Ha, ha. Have fun on your cruise.
Cheers, rocky
