The year 2007 will be the inaugural season of the new Royal Princess, originally one of the Renaissance ships (R-Eight). It will have only 355 staterooms, accommodating 680 passengers. After being R8, the ship was also the Minerva II in the Swan Hellenic line. Princess already has two other former Renaissance ships, the Pacific Princess (R3) and the Tahitian Princess (R4). Another company that uses former Renaissance ships is Oceania.
Beginning November 16, 2007, the 12-day itinerary for the
Royal Princess' Mediterranean Collection - Venice to Rome - will include Ravenna, Italy, then Split and Kotor, Croatia, followed by Corfu, Greece, and then Valletta, Malta, and Messina on the coast of Sicily. Additional stops will be Sorrento/Capri in Italy, Corsica (Ajaccio) in France, then Monte Carlo, Portofino, and Rome (Civitavecchia).
Beginning November 28, 2007, the 24-day itinerary of the
Three Continents Transatlantic from Rome will include 13 sea days as well as stops in Portofino, Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Gibraltar, Morocco, Dakar (Senegal), Fortaleza (Brazil), French Guiana, Dominica, St. Barthelemy, and ending in Fort Lauderdale.
