Need A Latin Bar Recomendation for Miami

Will be staying a few nights in Fort Lauderdale (The wonderful Elysium) prior to our cruise. We are looking to drive down to Miami on a Friday night, and want to visit a bar with a heavy latin clientele (don't want any fancy nightclub, but a regular "bario" type casual bar--something that has more locals than tourists). Can anyone give me any recomenations?

Also, If anyone can tell me the best place for Cuban food in Dade County that would be helpful too.

Hey, guy, the best-known Latin bar in Miami is Azucar in Little Havana, but you may consider that a "fancy club" ... I wouldn't call it a barrio bar, certainly. The popular new spot is Sandals on 79th Street (in the space formerly occupied by the old Cupid's Cabaret stripper bar). But I'm thinking the bar closest to your description would be Jamboree on Biscayne Blvd. It's dark, divey, cruisy (esp the back patio), very friendly, and overwhelmingly Latin. Have fun!
