First Time Cruiser

Hey Akk,

I am Jay, 32 years old and looking to go on a cruise for the first time in my life (solo cruise). I just wanted to get input and advise for y'all regarding which is the best cruise line for young guys to be on.

One of the reasons that I want to go on this cruise is because I am deeply closeted and want a few days of freedom to be myself. I was thinking of a week long cruise to the eastern medeteranian. What cruise line would be the best? I have looked at Costa and Carnival.

Personally I would recommend Carnival as a great choice. I've cruised them twice before and the crowd on the Caribbean trips seems to be a younger crowd and the dance clubs are usually packed. Can't really say how many other guests will identify as GLBT but its a big ship so usually the odds aren't too bad. On the Carnival Freedom I can tell you I wasn't the only one lol. So yeah, if you're looking to get away and just have a lot of fun Carnival is a good choice. Really there aren't any bad choices in cruising though, just depends on what kind of cruise you want. I find that on Carnival the crowd tends to be younger and more of a party crowd.
