Hi GLBT Cruisers:
I thought it would be a good idea to post a sticky for those who are looking for a travel companion, thus avoiding the single supplement the cruise lines charge! I've seen several posts in the past of guys and gals looking for travel buddies...so if you're on the hunt, please post here. Thanks!! 8) |

Thanks, Triton.
When a cruise "deal" comes along and you don't have an available mate, it does help to have a good source to turn to for finding someone compatable to join you. I am looking into several longer cruises and may need to find a good mate, too. MAY 8: Holland America's Maasdam; Ft Lauderdale to Montreal, 15 days. MAY 24: HAL's Westerdam; Alaska roundtrip from Seatlle, 7 days, $399 outside. July 25; HAL's Maasdam; 35 days roundtrip from Boston across the North Atlantic and back Check these (or others) out and pm me. |

Inaugural Carnival Breeze from Europe to the US in November, 2012. I like to travel in suites - the cost is about $3000 pp or less, depending if you have cruised on Carnival before. $500 deposit -- and, payment due in July 2012. Interested?

Hi,
I am a 49 yo European professional and traveling for work to USA East coast soon. I want to take a short cruise out of FL. I was looking at Carnival Ecstacy or Fascination on April 18, 2013 for 4 nights but would like to share a cabin (with male passenger - ideally between 40 and 60 yo). Main purpose is to share cost and have a travelbuddy. Dates are not flexible and alternative port of departure could be envisaged, such as Tampa on board RCL Jewel to Cozumel. I have extensive cruise experience and am totally reliable. Regards, Frank |

$63/DAY TOTAL: 19-DAY LUX TRANSATL-EUROPE CRUISESHARE W MALE PIANIST - $1197 (Upper East Side)
Male guest pianist (Cole Porter's piano at the Waldorf, etc.) on the 19-day/18-night transatlantic crossing of the beautiful new flagship of MSC Cruises, the "Orchestra" leaving Ft. Lauderdale May 2 (or can board in New York City May 5 or 6 for same price) can take one other person with him for $63 per day inclusive ($1197 total, including all port charges and taxes in an oceanview/balcony stateroom). This is 19 days for less than their lowest promotional price for an oceanview stateroom on their immediately-following 7-day cruise in Europe, as you can see below. It should be a great transatlantic voyage with interesting ports of call in the Azores, Portugal, Spain (2 ports), England and Denmark as well as lots of nice days at sea on an exceptionally beautiful ship with some of the best shows and entertainment on the high seas. Inexpensive air available. Here are the details: MSC Orchestra - Trans-Atlantic 18 Nights 2 May 2009 - 20 May 2009 Florida, New York, Portugal, Spain, England, Denmark - 2009 Travel on board of the MSC Orchestra. Departing from Fort Lauderdale,Florida and calls to New York,New York, New York,New York, Ponta Delgada,Azores Islands, Lisbon, Vigo, La Coruna, Dover, Copenhagen . Note below the price of category 5-6 oceanview staterooms--originally $2400-2800 pp, now $1399-1599 pp plus port charges and government taxes, based on two in a stateroom (otherwise double--100% single supplement), which is about the same as the $1499-1649 pp plus port charges and government taxes for cat. 5-6 staterooms on the 18 night transatlantic, down from its original $2900-3200, above. In addition, the 7 night cruise costs more airfare--round-trip to Europe rather than just one way back, which is quite inexpensive with an air consolidator or internet specials. The current offer to the public is already a tremendous value for such a great itinerary on this elegant new ship. The cruiseshare price $1,197 total, including all taxes, is much lower still. In addition, there may be discounts on tours, invitations to cocktail parties, etc. as stateroom-mate of a staff member. Can board either in Ft. Lauderdale on May 2 or in New York on May 5 or 6--same price. Here's the 7-day cruise comparison: MSC Orchestra - Northern Europe 7 Nights 23 May 2009 - 30 May 2009 BALTIC CASTLES & RUSSIAN PALACES Travel on board of the MSC Orchestra. Departing from Copenhagen and calls to Kiel, Stockholm, Tallinn, St. Petersburg, Copenhagen . 62 year old male seeking nonsmoking male cabinmate for 35 day Voyage of the Vikings cruise on Holland America's Maasdam from Boston departing July 25, 2009 returning to Boston on August 29th. Current fare around $3000 (including taxes and insurance) double occupancy for an outside cabin.
Also seeking cabinmate for 67 day Australia/New Zealand cruise departing Settle on September 26th on Holland America's Amsterdam. This cruise returns to Los Angeles on December 2nd. Current fare is around $11,000 double occupancy including taxes and insurance for a double outside. I am hoping this cruise will come down in price before the final payment date. Both these cruises are excellent opportunities to see unusual destinations WITHOUT the hassle of international flights. If interested in these cruises or any others, please pm me. I am a retired airline employee and usually get good discounts on cruises. Thanks.

I'm really tempted to book this all gay cruise to Mexican Riviera out of L.A. but I can't swing it on my own. I'd like to find someone to share with and preferably not leave it up to Atlantis. I can get a non-com rate of $1655/PP in an E1 which includes all port charges and gratuties.
Anybody interested? You can view the itinerary, etc at the Atlantis Travel site. I'll need to book soon so let me know! ![]() J

Hey All,
I'm looking for a cabinmate/ roommate for the Princess Royal Transatlantic sailing from Rome to Manaus (21 days) leaving from Rome on November 28, 2009. It goes from Italy (3 stops) out through Gibralter to Tunis/Carthage, Morocco and Senegal before steaming across the atlantic and up the Amazon river into the heart of the Brazilian jungle! I'm wanting to book an oceanview (obstructed view is fine with me--I don't have a ton of money) and don't want to pay the huge cost of a single room! I'm a 47 yr old professional partnered GWM (my partner can't/won't take the time off). I don't smoke, don't drink very much at all, but love to travel. I'm fluent in French, German, Dutch, English, plus some Italian, Spanish, Greek, Hebrew, Russian and Chinese, so I could be useful on shore excursions! I can be outgoing when the occasion arises, but also value quiet time as well. I'm looking for another independent traveler like myself who is courteous and open-minded, eager to learn and live this trip-of-a-lifetime for all it's worth! Age, race, religion, physical abilities/disabilities are no barriers but opportunities. If this sounds interesting to you, please contact me ASAP! warmly yours, Fred in South Carolina (USA)

Do you want to cruise to Europe in the fall. I am male, in my mid 60's, non-smoker and love to cruise, I just hate having to pay the single suplement. I have taken nine transatlantic cruises in the past and there is a number of transatlantic cruises that look interesting this fall but I am open to suggestions on any cruise line, I do prefer a cruise that ends in the US. I consider myself very easy to get along with, I am a scocial drinker, enjoy meeting people and enjoy good conversation. I am not looking for some to share the cruise just the cabin, we each do our own thing, depending on the situation.
If you are male, any age and a non-smoker, post a reply or send a PM |
