Is the Epic overrated?

The more I hear and see of the Epic I'm getting worried they squeezed in a lot more rooms and took away a lot of public space and things to do. Don't see as many beach chairs, less space in resturants (ie more wait time to get in if at all), less availability to see shows when you want, etc.
Anyone else see this as a problem?
