Damn -- that flight back to USA is expensive !!

Haven't done a transatlantic, but looking forward to it. Can't wait to be in the middle of nowhere, and disconnect from my cell phone ! Have you ever done one?

No been on a few other cruises but never for that long and yeh was part of the appeal to totally get away from all civilisation! Although I suspect phone will still work as the ship has its own network lol

Yea Archiee ... Royal has the cruise experience down to a science.

The quality of Royal C food is relatively decent and I try to eat with a slant towards health (fruit/veg/lean meat etc) -- but my only tiny complaint is that after about 3 days, you realize you're basically eating the exact same thing over and over -- (other than the slightly changing nightly dinner of course). Selections of the standard breakfast-lunch stuff get real old to me on a 4 night cruise -- let alone a 10 night (but I'm not gonna complain too loud!
