March the 10th i cruise Mexico/Panama/Carribean.
Do i actually have to take any medication to prevent malaria. I intend to go ashore at all stops.

Look up the CDC's recommendations for the areas you are travelling to. Especially if you are planning to go into fresh water, you should probably get immunizations. Your local district health department can answer questions. Call and let them know you are planning International travel. You should be able to talk to someone knowledgeable.
