Cruising Pregnant

Hello! When we sail Millennium later in the Spring, my wife will be 23 weeks into her pregnancy. Celebrity Cruises' brochure states that pregnant guests are accepted up to the 27th week. I was just wondering if any medical document stating the number of weeks was required. Wouldn't want to be turned away at the pier!!! Also, if any of you have tips on cruising pregnant, we would welcome them. Thanks in advance. Nicolas

Re: Cruising Pregnant

Congratulations!! We cruised with my pregnant daughter 5 years ago and had to send a doctors note to the cruise line at time of booking. They look at pregnancy as being a "medical condition". I would check with your TA to be sure you won't be surprised at the pier. I would also check with the doctor to see which, if any, seasick medications your wife may be able to take. Have a great cruise.

I would definitely check with your doctor. you may want to try searching the internet for resources too. Use teoma.com, they're always on target with their searches and will probably help you out. I had a similar problem when we went camping with my mom who's in a wheelchair. We had to find places with special accomodations and when searching on teoma i found exaclty what i needed.... hope this helps
