Is it okay for a seasick prone person to cruise from LA to E

My wife & I are thinking about taking the Carnival cruise from Los Angeles down to Ensenada, Mexico in March. However, being newbies and seasick prone, we aren't quite sure if this trip will be bliss or torment. Appreciate your advice.

How do you know you are seasick prone if you have never been on a cruise? Are you prone to being car sick or motion sick on an airplane? If so, then there is the possibility on getting sea sick (motion sick) on a cruise. That being the case there are several remedies such as dramamine and Bonine. In addition there is the Scop Patch (doctor prescribed) and there are wrist bands and other things that folks swear by. Generally speaking, outside odf a real storm, very few folks actually get sea sick on a modern cruise ship.

I find on a newer ship that has the stabililzers, you forget you're even on a ship; it just feels like a big city. I've been on smaller, older ships and you really feel the motion of the seas. I stick to the newer, bigger ships; that's the one's we like to cruise on.
