insurance coverage for parasailing, horseback riding, etc.
 

Does anyone know if tour operators for "dangerous activities" (e.g. horseback riding, parasailing, helicopter rides) carry their own insurance to cover you if you get hurt since most insurance policies exclude injuries resulting from these activites? Thanks!

You will virtually never see activities like parasailing on the ship sponsored excursion list. The main reason is that the marority of these operators are simply two guys who own and outboard, a parachute and a rope. Insurance is about the last thing they might have. The same will hold true for vendors working the beaches peddling jet ski rentals, banana boat rides , water skiing etc. These are very much participate at your own risk activities.
