Great News Regarding Norovirus Outbreaks

This really is positive news! The article below states that for the first time in 10-years, the outbreaks of subsided to their lowest level!

IMHO, I think it's the diligence of ships keeping general areas cleaner than "normal"...and I think some of us have a few bleach marks in our clothes to prove it, !

It is great news and I would like to think that apart from the effort being shown by the lines that people are actually now more aware regarding handwashing after toilet, and not touching or poking food in buffet areas with their hands and then putting back.

But good news, the message appears to be getting through

Yes: I agree that the message has finally gotten through that people should wash their hands. Perhaps H1N1 gave people that extra push they needed.

People are more educated in the spread of norovirus. A few months ago there was a norovirus thread on the boards and some people actually thought that norovirus was not spread by people who did not wash their hands.

A couple of people actually made fun of the ship's doctors who sent out messages asking people to wash their hands after using the toilet.

Not washing your hands is about the only way it's spread.
