Default Veendam-Lido noise

Our TA called with a good price for a mini-suite on the Navigator deck of the Veendam. After booking the cruise, I noticed that the Lido Restaurant is right above us. Will we have a lot of noise from overhead- - -especially early in the morning?

I don't think it would be a problem at all - in fact is a great location - if you like easy access to the buffets :-)

Hello,
We had a minisuite on the Veendam, just under the Lido, and wondered the same thing, but it was fine. I think we heard a chair (or something??) scrape once or twice the whole week, but mostly, we heard silence. We COULD hear more if we were on the balcony. Our cabin was situated under that part of the Lido just where the door to go out on the pool deck was. The Veendam was a lovely ship, and we had a wonderful time, hope you do too!

Had a mini-suite, cat B, on the Maasdam in April. Cabin would have been just aft of Lido restaurant. Had more structural noise in that cabin, creaks, pops, etc. It was awful, especially at night (calm seas, too). Had to be unusual as even cabin steward was in awe. And cabins on each side of us didn't hear a thing. But, that didn't detract from a truly great cruise experience (Panama Canal).

HAL service, the ship and food were excellent. Have fun and pack some earplugs, just in case.
