it means that you are waitlisted most likely. Perhaps your TA never told them your preference. If you have a preference then you should get on the phone to your agent and get yourself on the right seating...or at least waitlisted for the right one.
If that doesn't get you what you want then go see the dinning room manager when you board and try to make the change then.
If that doesn't work then go see the Matre D at the first seating and slip him an early tip.
Hi kuki, I have allways had confirmed dinning on all the cruises I have done with Holland America.Booked early with an agent and allways requested late seating. Look on the bright side,if you don't eat dinner you will have room for the late buffet! good luck and have a great cruise. Anna form Calgary

Being from Calgary, U should know the St. Louis Hotel. That's where U can find me most of the time. Nope, I don't live there<G> I own the place!
Actually just found out today, the leaders of three of our provincial politicial parties (the election is Monday) are coming down to our bar for lunch tomorrow, to partake in our indoor horse races.
Channel 7 is coming in to cover the fun, so U may get a peek at me on the evening news. Just look for the big guy wearing the antlers <G>
IT MEANS THEY DID NOT RECEIVE YOUR REQUEST WHEN YOU MADE YOUR TRIP RESERVATIONS--DID YOU REQUEST AN EARLY OR LATE SEATING? I WOULD TRY TO HAVE YOUR AGENT OR YOURSELF SETTLE THIS BEFORE BOARDING--
BEST OF LUCK TO YOU--MY ADVICE IS "RELAX" ALL WILL BE SORTED OUT--
