Well, it's a travel story anyway. Took the kids (18 + 21) plus their friends to never-changes Acapulco. My husband and I visited a famous disco fond remembered from by me in my pre-twenty one days. Nothing had changed. In celebration that sometimes 'you can go home again' we ordered a bottle of champagne and settled in to our comfy table to watch the action. Suddenly we were surrounded by an attentive staff of no less than five servers. We thought it must be 'kind to elders night' or something equally as strange.
As it turns out when I review the credit card slip the next day: When my old eyes were selecting the bottle of bubbly, I missed the decimal point! That nice bottle of $50.00 champagne was actually $500.00! Ok already, I'm ready to carry the granny glasses. But it's a wonderful growing old/but never grow up memory.
