Volendam on Nov.22/01

Hi, is anyone joining us on this cruise,I finally managed to convince my husband to sail with me again,we are spending 3 days in Ft. Lauderdale per-cruise and celebrating our 34th anversary on the Volendam,It will be his first time on Hal.,my 5th,we have sailed on Crystal twice but I prefer Hal.I am looking forward to the ports as most of them are new to us,any suggestions on shore excursions would appreciated, thanks Anna

CONGRATULATIONS on your anniversary!! Enjoy your cruise!! (By the way, this is the first time I've seen HAL held up over Crystal, but I have to agree. Not that ther's anything wrong with Crystal, but I love HAL's ships and crew and it's nice to know I'm not alone on this) What ports are you calling on? If I have any tips I'd be glad to share....

Thanks for the congrats,the ports we are calling at are Kralendijk,Bonaire; Porlamar,Isla de Margarita,Venezuela; Castries,St.Lucia; Basseterre,St. Kitts;St. Thomas,Nassau.and back to Ft.Lauderdale.Do you know anything about the Angel Falls tour in Venezuela I have heard it is really interesting and spectacular and how about the dolphin and sting ray encounters at Nassau,I am really exicited about doing these.Thanks for any info you might be able to provide.Anna

My wife, Linda, and I will be aboard with you. This will be our 3rd cruise and second on HAL. If it is anything like our Amsterdam cruise last year, all of us will be happy indeed. We aren't much on excursions, maybe because Linda never saw a shopping area she will not enjoy. We will fly in the morning of the cruise from Alabama, and, hopefully, have a chance to say "hello" face to face. Bon voyage.
