We have already booked with HAL, but CruCon is offering to take the reservation and charge us 7.5% less, which on a long cruise is substantial enough to make me consider it. However, we are doing ROS. Would be have a better chance at a better cabin staying with HAL or does crucom do as much business with HAL as they claim (therefore, they have a lot of pull, they say)?
Advice, please -- but I'm not looking for a local TA. Don't need the hand-holding. Just efficient, honest, good service and best price.
I booked with them on a Carnival ship thru the Panama Canal in April. Their price was exceptional. Since then, I've had them give me quotes 3 times, and they were substantially higher than their competitors. In addition, when you use their quote form, they send you a form letter telling you to call.
Did I experience beginner's luck? I know people who are MUCH more responsive.
I've had outstanding luck with Connie, from BestPriceCruises.com. If you want nearly instant quotes, try CruiseQuick.com, which has excellent prices and a good reputation, but no one other than a computer to talk to, so know what you're looking for.
