Zaandam, Alaska Inside Passage May 18th, 2002.
It's a first cruise for myself, my husband and my folks.
We're all quite active. We're in our 30's, my parents are
in their 50's but sometimes seem younger than us! My dad, who is not someone I everthought that I'd get to agree to try a cruise, picked this itinerary since he felt that he'd have lots of out-door activity to keep him busy when we're in ports. He's not one to relax much but the rest of us plan to get some R&R time in (thank goodness for a couple of sea days) as well as enjoying some terrific sounding excursions. We just hope that it lives up to our expectations. After reading the posts on these boards I have a feeling that it will. Thanks everyone!
My hubby and I are sailing on the Maasdam on 3-31-02. We are 40ish and have 4 kids ( that we are leaving with grandma!). My husband suprised me with this cruise for our 20th anniversary. Can't wait! First time we have cruised with out our kids!!! Yippee!
We are sailing the Aug 29th Ryndam Inside Passage with four other couples (got them all the Mariner Rate) and also sailing the November 21st Southern Caribbean Seafarer Cruise for 10 days aboard the Amsterdam. Looking forward to both cruises with new sites to see and new ports to visit.
My husband and I are sailing from Vancouver on September 1st to Alaska onboard the Statendam. This will be our fist time on that ship but our 8th cruise - all on Holland America.
Along with our 27 year old son, we are also sailing on the Maasdam (for the second time) out of Ft. Lauderdale to the Western Caribbean on December 8, 2002. It will be our son's first cruise and is he ever excited!
Three of us are booked on the Amsterdam, 7 September for the Alaska Inside Passage cruise from Seattle. We'll be doing a Gray Line package in Seattle and Victoria before the cruise since HAL isn't offering any decent overnight pre cruise packages out of Seattle -- all were cencelled RIGHT after they put out the brochure. We've been to Seattle and Victoria before but enjoyed it enough to do a repeat.
We were originally on the Amsterdam's Med crusie next September around the same time that was cancelled -- very disappointed. But decided to stick with the ship and change destination. This is our first HAL cruise. I've been on 3 other cruises -- all with different lines (Greek Islands, Hawaii and Caribbean).
