Bringing it aboard is not a problem, but they do try to charge you $10.00 corkage if you want it with a meal. We just told the wine steward that if he charged us, he would not get a tip (and also offered him a taste of each bottle). We never paid corkage, and he did get a nice tip at the end of the cruise.
As far as the corking fee goes. We ordered wine as well with dinner. So when we asked about having our own bottle served to us, we were told about the corking fee. He did not charge us in the end. They are aware of tips. I think its important that they mention it. Probably policy if for some reason they are told to charge in the end.
