While HAL does offer AARP discounts, they do not allow them to be combined with other discounts which are often in larger sums. So....AARP members must forego the $200 because they would have to forfeit an offer which is worth a larger sum.
We know...we tried it.

I called HAL and was told it only applied to outside cabins. You might want to check this out. 1-877-SAILHAL.

you can`t use the AARP savings if you are using Mariner pricing or if your cruise is being offered with a cabin credit......jean

Wonder if this offer is extended to CANADIAN ARP members? Must enquire about that.

You're probably better off with the early booking discount and being a 'Mariner' may be an added benefit - I plan to check it out.
