We have booked a 14 land/cruise tour with HAL. The cabin is a Deluxe Verandah Suite. It is our first cruise and a celebration cruise (my 50th and our 25th)
I have been just starting to read thru messages (here, there and everywhere). Been reading of the addition considerations for booking this type of suite. I know about the embarking and free dry cleaning. Have also read that on other ships of other dining rooms. So to know what to expect (as others did not), could someone list what these privileges are. Additionally, how does room service work while aboard?
dodnt forget free laundry----there is at least one event daily for suite passengers-
you receive a printed invite for each one------bigger cabins -- comp. champagne-
room service --you can order the nite before for breakfast etc- if you are gooing to have
a pre dinner party in your suite call in the am and place your order and it will be delivered on time------on the nzaandam there is a kings room where you can have breakfast and or lunch reserved for suite passengers- priority reservations in specialty dining room -priority boarding of tenders and a whole lot more-----im sure someone will answer in greater detail and or you can go to the holland america site and work through there----the brochure generally spells out all the goodies.
as they say -- once you have sailed suite you will never go back
Sailed in a suite on the Amsterdam and assume they are clost to being the same. Not sure if there's a Neptune Lounge on your ship like the Amsterdam. If so, private concierge services can arrange anything for you. Never had trouble booking spa, alternate restaurant (as often as you want unlike other passengers), fluffy robes, person stationary, complementary champagne, all the free laundry and dry cleanin needed, VIP embarkation (with a special waiting VIP room in Seattle terminal -- don't know about others), best tables assigned in the dining room, King's Lounge open for breakfast and lunch, as menyioned, several special cocktail parties or lunches, etc, tea serves in your room any day you would like as well as pre dinner hors d'ourves. We even arranged a party in advance via the concierge lounge staff -- no charge. I could go on and on. A lot of perks with delux suites or penthouses that do not come with other categories. And for the difference between a mini and deluxe suite, I think worth the deluxe.
