Default Alaska Shore excursions

We are going to be on the Statendam in June and really need advice on shore excursions. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

We just returned from a cruise on the Zaandam. Two of the excursions we took stand out --

In Juneau, the "Pilot's Choice Helicopter Tour" with 2 glacier landings. The pilot we had as Jamil and he was great, very personable. The landings and walks on the glaciers were awe inspiring. We even had a drink of glacier water on one of the stops.

In Ketchikan we took the Misty Fjords Floatplane trip with a landing on one of the fjords. The pilots are Alaskan bushpilots that deliver the mail, people and spare parts to remote villages as well as doing tours during tourist season. The views of the Misty Fjords are awesome and the landing makes it extra special. You step out on the plane's floats and listen to the sounds of silence (or waterfalls in our case).

Either one would make a very special adventure.
