Has anyone seen any really great bargains from HAL lately for either Carribbean or Alaska, one week cruises, air thrown in or? I haven't seen any from them for a while and might still be interested in an unplanned cruise again this year. Know any sites other than partners on this board and Cruisecritics that specialize in HAL bargains?
The Veendam has great prices for its 11-22 Thanksgiving sailing. The Itinerary is unusual too! Tampa, Costa Maya, Santo Tomas Guatamala, Belize, Cozumel, Tampa. (maybe not in that order) We got outside cabins for just over $600 p.p., including all taxes.Those are good prices for a holiday week.
As far as Alaska goes,we got great pricing on the Amsterdam 6-21 but the prices have gone up about 200 to 300 percent since we booked. I've heard of some great last minute deals on the Zandam that leave in a week or two. Those rates were around $400 p.p.
It's certainly not exhaustive, but here is the pricing from Promo #2002 -- got it from a website link from an email HAL sent me. The usual caveats for limited availability and "offer may be withdrawn at any time" apply.

We just had one week of our November back-to-backs on Maasdam reduced as the discount percentage of 58% that we booked at jumped to 70%. Grabbed on that reduction before it disappeared. We have not yet made final payment so there was no problem w/ HAL agreeing to the reduction.
Zuiderdam for August is also in the 70% range for discounts....
Both of these sets of back-to-back bookings are in "S" suites.

Great rates are still out there. Just booked the Zuiderdam Aug. 30 Sailing. Got a Deluxe Verandah "A" cabin for $579 plus taxes of about $180. Booked though www.cruisetavel.com They have other HAL dates at great prices too. Air from HAL was way to high so researhed through www.Orbitz.com but booked with the airlines directly. Has a former TA I can tell you that you if you have a problem with your tickets, it is easier to to deal directly with the airlines. Paying $156 each total for USairways flight from Phila. to Fort Lauderdale. You need to check times as and hour or two one way or the other can change the price by a $100 or more. The flight back at 2:05PM would have cost us $80 more each than then 3:30PM flight. Worth it to us to hqang around the airpot for an extra hour or so and save the money.

well, it looks like there are some still out there. Need to continue research! Saw some the other day that sounded really great but they did not have port taxes, etc added in. Great airfare from Sacramento or SF to Florida ports doesn't go on sale all that often. Thanks for the help and hope to see all on the waters.
