Renewal of Vows_Maasdam/Alaska

I have arranged a "Surprise" for my wife and have arranged the Renewal of Vows on the Maasdam which leaves on an Alaskan Cruise June 12th.

I would like to hear from anyone who has had this ceremony done recently. From reading postings on various sites I understand that it is done with style and is memorable.

I understand that their are Flowers provided when you arrive in your stateroom. Does the invitation arrive the first day? I want this to be a surprise up to the point that she reads the invitation.

The other question I have is - Vows are to be done on an informal night at 7:15PM in the Crowsnest Lounge. We have early seating at 5:45PM for dinner (Boy , will we look out of place dressed up on informal night). It almost sounds like we have to race through dinner in order for us to be in the Crowsnest for the ceremony??? Have any of you experienced this timeframe?

We are doing the vow revewal on the Zuiderdam on our June 21 sailing. Our documents have a voucher, so if you want to keep it a secret, I suggest you keep the documents away from your wife.

Thanks for the tip....My wife and I are celebrating our 30th on the Zuiderdam on the Sept. 27th sailing and I'm surprising her with that as well. I'll have to have the documents mailed to the office to keep it a secret!
