Finally got a review on Zaandam 3/29 into the system.

Well Don, this will be our first attempt at Holland and we are certainly looking forward to it. My boss which cruises Holland extensively is the one that steered me towards them. Having cruised on other lines, I am seeking a little more upscale relaxed enviroment. Some of the comments you made are giving me some concern about being a cattle ship because of the economy. We are cruising in October and hopefully there won't be too many youngsters in the group. Not that I dislike kids!!!!!! I have 2 adult ones, don't want to be flamed here, but would like to have a more "refined" group of people. We have booked ourselves into a Cat A balcony room and hope to have a great time as I am sure you did. Thank you for the honest review and I will post mine when I return.

You will be very comfortable in a Cat A room. That's where we were. Kids were absolutely no problem but that was because what few there were knew how to behave themselves in public.

Was really distressed at HAL's last minute tactics for filling the ship. Spoke to a lot of people who weren't sure they even wanted to go on a cruise but the universal opinion was "who could pass up the price?".
