My hubby brought home a flyer yesterday from a travel agent that is for a May 8th Hal cruise on the Z ship. It says " and Yes all drinks included" has anyone ever heard of any special sailings that do this?
I've never seen this on any of the mass market lines, but it's not impossible. Possibly a special group cruise? I'm curious which ship this is on. And which agency it is from. I'm not a lush, but at cruise line wine/drink prices, free beverages would be an attraction.
Location: Wisconsin....about 100 miles south of the Frozen Tundra and 70 miles east of Camp Randall
Re: all drinks included cruise?
Occasionally, some travel agencies will arrange a group cruise that will include ALL drinks (alcoholic included.) There is a radio personality here in Milwaukee who hosts a group cruise yearly (so far always on NCL - if he ever changes cruise lines he will get my presence on his cruise!) and it is an all-inclusive cruise. You will usually be charged a lot more for a regular cabin that what you could do on your own. Do the math and figure how many drinks per day you would drink (soda, alcoholic, speciality coffees, etc.) and try and figure out if you will be ahead or behind in the cost of the cruise.
Carnival Breeze with Ray B and Aerogirl 5/4/14!
The catch could be what kind of drinks are included. Hal has some pretty expensive bottles on the shelves. I have seen Johnny Walker Blue which cost big bucks. Then there are the special coffee drinks, the fruity tuti drinks etc.
That is so intriguing, I've never heard of all inclusive on a cruise. Mind you I have always been open bar by Mastercard, it's what I do not spend in the Casino.
Is this a concept to come. Not a bad idea. Add 20% to my cruise fare and let me go nuts on MaiTai's (both of them).
