Tom: Returned from the Maasdam a few weeks ago. Wine list was quite varied, with some nice wines between $18-$25.00. Ordered Pinot Grigio at dinner a few nights for $24.00 and it was very nice. They seem to range from $18.00 to over $60.00, with a lot of very nice choices in between.
Seems to be an equal amount of reds and whites and some nice champagnes. I manage a golf club/restaurant and there were many of the same wines we have on our list - lots of California's, nice Italian whites, smooth reds.
HAL might send you a wine list if you contacted customer relations but you'll probably be onboard before it arrives. You shouldn't have any trouble finding nice wines at decent prices.
Was on Volendam last winter & they had packages (like 4bottles for $84, 6 for $125)Does Maasdam have similar? E-mailed HAL a few days ago to ask, but they seem disinclined to answer, other than automatic acknowledgement of my request. Read your review on Cruise addicts-could you tell me anything to see in Cockburn town ,Grand Turk?
The Maasdam eliminated Grand Turk from its itinerary months ago. I was disapointed as that was the reason I booked the Maasdam (sailing Dec. 7th for 2 weeks) If you pre order your wine...before dinner..you get 10%off the price. There will be wine waiters around the lido deck to take your order. Yes all of HALs ships have the wine package....jean
