Default Snorkeling & Diving

Thinking of a trip on Zuiderdam with ports in Half Moon Cay, St. Thomas, Tortola, and Nassau (hopefully). Can anyone report on the quality of snorkeling and diving tours?
Are there enough reefs there or must one go to the Western Caribbean? We have never been to this part of the Caribbean and will mainly want to snorkel most of the trip.
Did you get adequate time in the water, or would you recommend arranging snorkeling through the local dive shops instead? Thanks!
