Massdam Upgrades?

I understand that the ship will have new upgrades this year. We are planning to sail from Norfolk on the April 3rd voyage. Has anyone had any first had experieince with what has changed? Also, any recommendations for eastern carribean excursions is appreciated.

Ship was upgraded at the end of 2003 summer. It is great. Concierge service for suites. Very nice ship! Highly recommend the ship. Sailed to western Caribbean just after ship was upgraded.

I believe the upgrades you are talking about is the "Signature of Excellence" program and it will not start until sometime in May.

Check out HAL's web site for the Signature of Excellence program. There is a list of things they are going to put on every ship. Some of these are new mattresses, 100% Egyptian cotton sheets and pillow cases, fluffy towels, robes in all cabins, regardless of category, new hair dryers and many more items.

Maasdam had a drydock in October and a new Neptune Lounge was built for use by "S" and "PS" pax. A Pinnacle Restaurant (alternative dining) was added in the space that used to be King's Room, Maitre d's office and a small portion of Explorer's Lounge.
