My family is booked on our first cruise/vacation - a well deserved break from our too fast lives. I chose HAL for several reasons including its more traditional setting. I am concerned however about my 10 year old - she is just learning English - what has been your experience with spoken language and the activities for children (10-14) (Holiday season)? I realize that English is the universal spoken language in cruising and travelling in general, (and it will be a strong motivation factor to learn English) however I would like to know if other French speaking families have travelled with HAL before.
I have traveled with people from many nations. If you are concerned about your daughter, children have an unspoken unversal language. I would think your daughter will find friends and that she and your family will have a great time. Do not underestimate the power of children with other children. Their simplicity will amaze you.
