Tampa hotels

Please let me know about any nice Tampa Hotels you have stayed at. We would like one with an airport shuttle and shuttle to the Port of Tampa. Please include hotel cost. Thanks in advance for this information!

If you do a four star bid of $56 on Priceline, you'll get the Grand Hyatt. It is a magnificent hotel. When you check in, ask to be in the "Casitas." They are like little brand new condos intertwined with the luscious grounds, streams, koi ponds, and bird sanctuary.

They do have an airport shuttle but do not have a cruise ship shuttle. Taxi fare is about $17. So that is not too bad.

The restaurant, also on the grounds of the bird sanctuary, is Oystercatchers. It is by far the best hotel restaurant anywhere I've been. They serve amazingly fresh seafood in a casually elegant environment that is friendly but not at all stuffy. Service is top notch abd the embiance is trendy nautical in nature.

They also have free parking for people going on cruises. Such a great deal!

We stayed at the Hilton Westshore in Dec for our New Years cruise. We would rate the hotel A+++. It was a little pricey, however, we drove down and they let us leave our auto for our 11 day cruise at no charge. This saved us $110.00. They shuttles us to and from the ship for $5.00 a head plus tip.

We stayed at the Day's Inn on the bay. Pick up from airport and to pier. Just tip. Also took us to a store for things needed on the way from the airport to the hotel and a restaurant. Hotel does have a restaurant with a bar but it's a young crowd (20's-30's) I went and ordered food to take to room. Staff very nice but this is not a hotel I would stay at longer than the night before our cruise and the night when we returned. It's strickly, for me a pit stop hotel that is clean enough and very accominating.
