Default Oosterdam data ports

Does anyone have feedback on the speed of the cabin dataports on the Oosterdam? I read 1 review that complained of the slow speed, being modem-based and all. Wondered if it really prevented downloading of emails, or if someone was just a bit impatient. Any thoughts much appreciated, don't want to lug the LT onboard if it's not warranted.

I was on the Oosterdam in March and the speed was very slow. And you are charged for all the time it takes to finally get online. I compensated by doing my online biz as quickly as possible. It IS worth it though. Have fun on the Oosterdam!! It's a beautiful ship.
