Ryndam

Will be taking our second cruise in Jan., 16 days from Ft. Lauderdale thru the Panama Canal to San Diego. Our first cruise was to Alaska on the Amsterdam for 7 days. Will we see much difference in the two ships? A jump from a 7 day to a 16 day cruise has me worried about laundry. Are the washer/dryers coin operated and is there room to wait for the laundry to get done?
I would love to hear from anyone who has taken this cruise, even if on another HAL ship. How was it? Do have any shore excursions to recommend?
