Default Rotterdam

I have sailed on many ships but never on the Rotterdam. My favoriate cruise line is Celebrity. I have traveled on Holland America before aboard the Maasdam. I have also gone on Royal Caribbean, Princess, Norwegian, and Costa. How does it compare to those lines ships? My favoriate part of a cruise is food, is the food any good? Thank you in advance for your thoughts and information.

Am sure you will be impressed by the quality of food on any H olland ship.I also have been on numerous cruises on both H olland and Celebrity and both are fist class and in my opinion above the others you mentioned.Would give Celebrity a slight edge in pastries and in particular croissants.Recently came off of Volendam and wold give them high ratings in the food catagory along with their alternativerestaurant where they have revised menu to feature northwest cuisine along with mouth watering steaks.Book the first nite here and get for half price.Happy cruising and gooood eating.

I recently returned from the roundtrip transatlantic cruise aboard the Rotterdam. What at great ship and very smooth sailing. The food was delicious whether in the dining room or Lido. If you visit the crow's nest, tell Marc and Antonio, the bartenders, that Vera said hi. I know you'll have a great time.

My husband and I are booked on Brilliance of the Sea, February 4th. Sailing to Panama.
I was on the Carribean Princes one week ago and had a great time. This ship had over 3,000 passengers. The Brilliance has about 2500. I am having second thoughts about being on such a large ship again. I am thinking about switching to the Rotterdam, same date, similiar itinerary. What I am concerned about is the age of the passengers on the Rotterdam and the nite life. My husband and I like to go to the disco and I am afraid that if the passengers are mostly in their 70's and above, the disco will be very quiet. I also read that the quality of the food has gone down on Hal. I was on the old Westerdam 8 years ago and the passengers were all older and the ship was pretty quiet at night after the last show. Any advice would help.
