We are on the Oosterdam in October and have a question.. HAL's web site and brochures do not mention a fridge in anything but suites... Do they have them in an Ocean View? ?... ?Bombero

I had one in my Cat. A Verandah outside. there were some drinks inside and I assumed that meant "you drink you pay", but I can't see why you couldn't use the fridge for personal use.

I believe a mini-bar/fridge is only in categories PH, S, SS, A & B. However, you can find check this out by going to icruise.com, select your Oosterdam cruise date, then your room category and it will show a complete description of your cabin and price for that sailing. Have a great trip!

I advised HAL I needed a refrigerator in my cabin to store medication (Outside cabin, Oosterdam 9/26 out of Vancouver). They advised that I could store it free in the infirmary or could have a refrigerator in my cabin for $2 per day charged to my onboard account.

Sailed on the Oosterdam last year--yes, all cabins have fridges (aka mini bars). We had to take the mini-bar stuff out to fit our bottles of wine, but the cabin steward didn't mind.

Just to clarify when I say "all cabins", we were in the bargain basement ocean view cabins (category G--partially obstructed ocean view), so I figure if that category had a fridge, all must.

BTW, when are you traveling in October? We are on the 10/31 sailing.
