Alaska land tour 6/27/04

The land tour (No.13) from the Statendam leaving Anchorage on 6/20/04 was a disaster!
Last minute hotel change for about 70 people blamed on an "overbooking" in Denali. Not one person got to stay at the planned hotel. About 60 diverted to hotels 2.5 to 3.5 hours from Denali by bus. Lost free day in Denali and gained 7 additional hours on bus. Holland America gave us $100 per person in on board credits. Revised itinerary was approx equal to the one day in Denali package (plus 7 hours on bus) which cost $250 less and we had not wanted.
Holland America's response, to written complaints, was essentially "tough luck".

This was my third and last cruise with them or any of their affilliated lines.
