I sailed on the Zaandam in 2002 and they had a great wine package that we bought call the Wine Navigator. It gave us 4 or 5 bottles of wine (can't remember) that we can have at dinner any evening. It cost around $80. I will be on the Westerdam Dec 12 and just curious if they still have this type of program and what the cost is. Thanks so much for your input.
Your better bet is to call the 800 number and ask about the wine packages. They now sell bottles of wine for about $18.00 (house brand but decent). I buy a bottle for every night at dinner. You save over the cost of the wine package (the wine package has a better quality wine) but I just enjoy having the house brand. Most are California or Chile.
You are also allowed to bring your own wine on board. They charge a heavy "Corking fee" almost the cost of the cheap wine, but if your going to have a glass before dinner why not take some of your own (you can buy some nice wine for $18.00 a bottle) and drink it in your room along with room service cheese platter. Have a nice time. Stooge
