We have a couple of questions regarding the aft corner suites on vista class ships. Are the suites and balconies on the Starboard side a little larger then on the port side. They appear to be on the deck plan? Also, Other than 5186 and 5187 are the suites on the other decks much smaller? Are there the same amount of closets as in the suites running fore to aft ? Is there a dressing area ? Does anyone have the square footage of these staterooms? And the last question, do all the balconies have chaise loungers? Thank you in advance to all who answer this post..........Sincerely Kevin-n-Walt
Hi there! I found a booking site yesterday that listed the square footages of the S suites. Here's what I wrote down:
4180 (aft corner) -- 329
4185 (aft corner) -- 324
5186 & 5187 (both aft corners) -- 365
Suites on 6 -- 393
Suites on 7 -- 391
Please note, I understand these to be the square footages of the suites themselves, not counting the verandahs. Also, since it only listed the sf of available cabins, I didn't get a chance to see if there was a difference for the "hump" cabins on the sides of the ship that have larger verandahs than normal.
I saw a webpage that rated the best cabins to have on each ship, and for Zuiderdam it suggested either 5186 or 5187. Said their decks were about 3 times larger than most others, and perfect for entertaining. DH and I are only going to use it for selfish suntanning! ;-)
Here is the link to the page that lists the "choice" rooms -- sorry for the cheesy music! I found this by doing a search on "Zuiderdam aft corner suite"...still looking for the booking site (I compared prices on about 7 different ones) that listed sf...
***I found the SFs -- it was through my insurance provider's website (USAA) -- they use OVSCruises, but if you go straight to their website it won't show you anything...here, though, is what I was referencing earlier. Hope it formats okay!!!***
