Zuiderdam Aug 6

Anyone sailing Zuiderdam August 6? A good ship -- looking forward to my third sailing on her.

We're going too. We have a few families with teens. I can't wait! See you there.

I hope there are others -- or does your "few families with teens" amount to 1,800 people? Teens are OK - usually they have enough to do on Zuiderdam to have a good time and not run wild - as happens on Carnival.

My wife & I just booked for August 6 - We did quite a lot of research towards this cruise and we're really looking forward to it. Ahoy everyone!

Hi Kevin and Lisa,

Just returned from a 7 day E. Caribbean with Zuiderdam. It was incredible! The service, the food, the staff, even the cruisers were all smiling and happy. There was a lovely cross-section of ages and cruisers. Helpful Seniors, many young couples and children. We only seen the children when they were on an activity with their counselors and they were all very well behaved and mannerly.

The whole ship was a happy family and I cannot wait to go again. You definitely cannot go wrong in picking this company and ship. My DH and I are going again next year. I am forty (to give you an idea of the ages) and there were a lot of couples around our age.

Sorry we missed you! Maybe next year.
We're in our mid-40's with five grown kids between us from our previous
marriages- Kids don't bother us; as long as we have a "corner" we
can retreat to :-)

I'm sure this is going to be an absolutely great experience- We can't wait to meet everybody.

Hi Kev and Lisa,

It is a definite possibility you will run into us in the future. Our children are 5 and 8, girl and boy, and after one cruise, I am definitely hooked.

I didn't take the DH and children on the first cruise, was scoping everything out and they have wonderful programs for the children.

Here's to meeting on the high seas some day. Have a wonderful cruise.

Looking forward to a repeat cruise on Zuiderdam -- a great ship - with superb Holland America service -- they have a good young peoples program -- also, perhaps because the grown ups who sail HAL are more responsible, the young on Holland America are a refreshing addition -- not like on Carnival, where the party atmosphere seems to infect the kids - who run wild and tend to take over. Looking forward to seeing you.

I agree with your views on the children. Having two of my own I was happy to see well run programs that kept them from being bored. I think that is the secret to sailing on a cruise ship with children and adults who come on board without any and don't want to be bothered by mis-behaved children.

I don't think the children are misbehaved, more the parents !

Hopefully be seeing you all on a cruise in the near future.

Isn't there going there going to be more of us on Zuiderdam on Aug 6? We'll have the ship to ourselves.
