Does anyone know the best way to get to the Virgin Gordas in Tortola? We are considering an excursion on a boat 9-4pm including lunch, drinks, snorkeling for $95/pp. Does this sound reasonable? Thanks for your help.
Yes, that is a VERY reasonable price for that shore excursion. When my clients go on cruises, I recommend that they do the cruise lines' shore excursions because of the convenience. It may not be the best price, but you also know that you have a reputable tour company and you will get a decent meal, the transportation will be safe, you won't get lost and miss the ship and you will be back to the shore on time.
Fuel costs for operating the boat, you will have professional assistance with the snorkeling gear and the gear will be well-maintained, you will go to a clean, reputable restaurant - all of those costs and "intangibles" bring that to a very reasonable price.
Thanks for the response. Are you familiar with the White Squalls company? This is actually an excursion someone recommended to us and is not through HAL. It seems like a good business from the response I got back through their site.
