First time filling out this questionaire form - as the last time I cruised was in 1991 and I didnt do anything like that, that I could remember anyway.
I would like to do the questionaire online to help speed up embarkation as suggested in a cruise forum posting. As I am Canadian and (still) do not have a passport (well that will change soon !), has anyone else filled in it without the passport section and had any problems?
FYI: I will print it off to have it in hand with my Birth Cert and BC drivers when I arrive, but wasn't sure if I was just wasting my time with the online bit if I cant fill in "all the required fields" (passport or visa sections).
Any help is appreciated.
thanks and and have fun to all those with upcoming sailing dates!
Leave it blank and see what happens, but as another Canadian, I would suggest that you apply for a passport, asap. You are going to need one eventually, so why not get it now. You have plenty of time to apply for one.
It's the easiest means of identification when travelling.
If, by chance, you cannot fill out it on-line, there will be a hard copy in your docs when they arrive that you will need to fill out. From what I have heard sometimes the line for those who have filled it out on-line is just as long or longer than for those pax who have not done this.
Have a wonderful cruise. The Volendam is my favourite ship and I will be doing Alaska on her again next year. Sailed on her about the same time you are going 2 years ago.
By the way, does your driver's licence have your picture on it like we do in Ontario? This is a must for identification purposes.
I figured I would wait till "last minute" on the passport since it needs to be renewed for a fee ,so I really dont want to get it till I need it since I only really ever go to the USA (last International trip was 5 years ago -) and I will get it in time for the new boarder ID issue entering USA.
